La Quinta, California
A Complete Outdoor Transformation
This full turnkey project transformed the entire backyard from the ground up, with Pietra di Lusso managing the project from initial construction through the final landscape.
At the heart of the design is a custom 8' x 35' pool with a 7' x 7' raised spa, finished in mini pebble and glass. Large-format porcelain tile defines the waterline and raised bond beam, while three sheer-descent waterfalls introduce a striking architectural element and the tranquil movement of water.
More than 1,000 square feet of 3cm, 16" x 24" travertine pavers were used throughout the pool coping, deck, and custom sitting wall, complemented by over 1,000 square feet of 5cm cement pavers laid in a classic herringbone pattern. The combination of natural stone, porcelain, and dimensional paving creates a sophisticated palette that carries throughout the property.
The transformation was completed with full landscaping, irrigation, and low-voltage landscape lighting, bringing every element of the outdoor environment together.
From pool and hardscape to landscaping and lighting, the result is a completely finished outdoor retreat—designed, built, and ready to enjoy.

Designed for Desert Living
Completed from start to finish in just eight weeks, this turnkey project transformed the property into a fully realized outdoor living environment, encompassing the pool, spa, hardscape, landscaping, and custom entertaining features.
The centerpiece is a 12' x 45' custom pool finished in Midnight Blue Mini Pebble with Puerto Rico Blend glass, accompanied by an 8' x 8' raised spa featuring two waterfalls. Together, the pool and spa create a striking focal point designed to complement the home's desert surroundings.
More than 1,000 square feet of 16" x 24" travertine pavers were installed in a herringbone pattern, complemented by over 1,000 square feet of 5cm cement pavers extending along both sides of the home. The combination creates a cohesive transition throughout the property's outdoor spaces.
A 15-linear-foot custom built-in outdoor barbecue expands the backyard into a true entertaining space, while a thoughtfully designed privacy block wall conceals the pool equipment. Complete landscaping, irrigation, and low-voltage landscape lighting bring the entire environment together.

Temecula, CA
An Infinity Edge Above the Valley
Completed in 2016, this remarkable Temecula project remains one of our most significant pool installations to date. Spanning more than 45 feet in width, the pool was designed around a dramatic 30-foot all-glass infinity edge, creating an uninterrupted visual connection with the panoramic views of Temecula Wine Country.
The infinity edge was finished in paper-faced glass tile, wrapping seamlessly into a 4' x 2' catch trough below. A three-foot raised deck and expansive 24" x 24" travertine coping frame the pool in natural stone, while fire pits positioned on both sides introduce warmth and drama to the setting.
The interplay of glass, stone, fire, and water gives the project its distinctive character, but the defining element is the view itself. The expansive infinity edge was designed to dissolve into the horizon, making the surrounding wine country an integral part of the pool.
The result is a timeless outdoor setting where architecture and landscape become one.
